Virtual Parent Support Groups

Roni Cohen-Sandler

Do you sometimes feel a bit lost as a mother? Or maybe you’ve been told, “Mom! You just don’t understand!” If so, you’re not alone. Mothering has always been the hardest job, but it’s especially challenging now in the digital age. Not only are there no roadmaps, but also, as kids get older it’s all too common to feel as if you’re navigating unfamiliar, potentially risky terrain all by yourself. In my experience, the right support, information, and guidance can make this journey that much more enriching and gratifying.

That is why I’ve always loved working with parents. This fall, I’ll be offering virtual parent support groups to bring together women who want to talk honestly about the realities, challenges, and triumphs of mothering school-age kids, tweens, or teens—and who are looking for practical solutions in raising happy, healthy, resilient, and capable young people.

My parenting philosophy is based on a biopsychosocial model and grounded in cutting-edge, science-based knowledge; the perspective of decades of clinical experience as a psychologist; healthy doses of common sense and humor; and my own, relatable hits and misses while mothering a now-grown daughter and son.

This fall, I’d love to welcome you into one of these newly formed communities of mothers.
