The American Psychological Association’s Magination Press’s January 2022 book, Peacock and Sketch, is a must-read for children ages 4 to 8. Peacock escapes from the zoo to find fame, only to learn the lessons that beauty is only “feathers-deep,” social media fame is tough and fleeting, and real life friendships are far more important. It’s never too early for parents to use this beautiful book to convey these important values to young children.
