When you drop your daughter or son off on campus, your main goal is undoubtedly that your first-year student will get a good education and not which college party they will attend. To that end, you’re probably hoping for a serious commitment to learning and good grades that will open doors for the future. What you’re probably not hoping for, in my experience, is for your new student to attend a bunch of college parties. In fact, that might be among your worst fears.
